#4 suffocation? drowning? some sort of asphyxiation trauma?

Nothing like that.  It’s very specific to the texture of the material touching my face (thankfully!) not a general asphyxiation phobia.  My mother’s a nurse and kept records (seriously) of every scrape and bump I had as a child, so it was nothing even remotely major.
